James Steel has been providing quality pre-engineered buildings in southeast South Dakota, southwest Iowa and northeast Nebraska for over 30 years. We specialize in all types of metal building. We operate our own concrete, steel and carpenter crews. To date, James Steel, has won a number of different awards including the 2005 Simple Saver National Safety Award.

Metal Construction News has ranked James Steel as one of the top one hundred builders in the nation fourteen years running for tonnage and square foot of pre-engineered buildings sold. In 2007 we were ranked 12th and sold 650,627 square feet. In 2006 we were ranked 20th and sold 582,200 square feet. In 2005 we were also ranked 20th and sold 478,160 square feet. To date, we have sold over fifteen hundred Varco Pruden buildings totaling more than eight million square feet.
